Highlights

Fast Examination Times: Several techniques are available to reduce examination time, including optimised strategies such as FastScan, Screening, Fast Threshold and Smart Threshold, as well as enhanced fixation methods and adaptive patient response.

LED perimetry: Offering a higher density of points, with fewer moving parts and therefore lower regular maintenance costs

Advanced Digital Eye Tracking System: The Opto AP100 features one of the most advanced Digital Eye Tracking monitoring systems in the market. This constant and precise monitoring of the patients’ position results in rapid and accurate exams.

The Eye Tracker System can be set to auto-pause when statistical losses of fixation are detected, or set to perform an entire examination providing results disregarding fixation losses, making the examination simple and convenient.

Examination Area Expansion: The physician has the ability to commence the visual examinations selecting fields as small as 10° degrees, yet should peripheral visual losses be detected they can easily expand the test area as much as required whilst continuing the initial examination.

This significant feature adds to the overall convenience for both patient and the operator as it significantly saves time eliminating the need of further retesting.

Accurate Results: Reliable accurate examination of field loss is obtained by using a high density concentric points stimulator bowl with enhanced stimulus control combined with an automatic eye tracker.

User-Friendly Software: The Opto AP100 software has been designed to be intuitive and simple to use, even for operators with limited experience. The interactive menus are easy to use and provide comprehensive information reducing the time spent preparing reviewing and printing patient exams.

Custom tests: ability to customize and create new testing areas

Quick Test Area Selection: The click of the mouse over a single point enables quick selection and retest of suspect points during examination. This enables verification of any suspect areas resulting from either poor fixation or visual loss, and facilitates straight forward testing of specific regions.

Additional Features

Improved Patient Comfort: Patient comfort can influence the reliability of the exam. The open design of the stimulator bowl enhances ventilation and reduces the potential for the patient to experience claustrophobia or similar sensations.

Regression Analysis: This sophisticated software tool allows complete monitoring and assessment of visual field regression.

Comparison Function: This feature allows the comparison of a prior and current exam side by side, and printing out a detailed report on a single page.

Language and Terminology Adaptation: The AP100 software can be easily translated to other languages through a tool provided in the software. This same tool also allows the user to perform specific adjustments in the perimetry terminology to suit different user preferences.

Multiple Printout Capability: Various configurations and options for report printing are available, including 'seven-in-one', multi-exams, and combo printouts.

Operating System Upgradeability: Opto ensures ongoing operational software upgrade capability, which is easy and evolutionary allowing our customers to keeping pace with their practice needs as well as the latest developments perimetry testing.

Reliability: The Opto AP100 is designed to provide the ophthalmologist with many years of reliable trouble free operation. Unlike projection type perimeters, the Opto AP100 utilizes long life Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology and uses no motors or fragile mechanical parts; hence there is no requirement for routine maintenance. The Opto AP100 interfaces with a standard IBM compatible PC.
